The vibe is seriously relaxed and more of an older or shall we say "adult vibe" so I would not come here in search of nightlife or anything fast paced.
The Bahamas Ferries out of Nassau is a great way to arrive and kind of sets the tone for what you should be expecting.
ETA from Nassau is roughly two hours depending on the weather but no complaints here as far as I was concerned the Bahamas Ferries trip went off like a well oiled machine - 4 Stars!
Food on Spanish Wells was outstanding and I really loved the Sandbar Bar & Grill - Excellent!
My second choice goes to the Shipyard - Delicious & you won't go wrong with either choice.
